Social Justice 12
The Social Justice course is relatively new course at SSS. The purpose of the course is to make students more aware of social injustices in our world and to teach students how to identify injustices and consider a course of action to address them. The course focuses on a multitude of injustices to help them understand the systemic nature of social injustices including treatment of animals, poverty in Canada and in the developing world, treatment of First Nations, LGBT issues and women's issues. Students take on a social action project as part of this course and work on it throughout the semester.
